Observing the moment relieves us from the constant worry and self-criticism that can cloud our minds when interacting with our children.  So practice giving yourself permission to let go of your worries about past or future parenting mistakes and just enjoy the moment. If the moment is not that enjoyable or perhaps it's disappointing, acknowledge this feeling but try to stay awake to what is happening.
